Finally Finished! Third Time's The Charm?

Hi Gang!

The challenge with a cover image (for me at least) is that my brain goes 'this has to be the best thing I’ve ever done' - and honestly that is not always the best mindset to go in with! Also when working WITH other people it changes my process a little bit which ends up making me more conscious too - even though I've got final word on things with this game, I am now working with these guys and I want to do stuff that they like too obviously - so as soon as I'm running a piece past someone else 'do you like it, is it ok' it goes into a different realm than when I'm just doing it for me y'know?

I don't know if any of you guys get this for those of you who are artists!

Anyway, I started this and promptly hated it so restarted with different paper, but that paper was off (watercolour paper can go out of date and so doesn't take water properly and absorbs it way into the paper too much with blotchy results). SO I did it a third time on my trusted illustration board and I've JUST finished!! WOOO!!

I'm SO pleased with how this has turned out. I wasn't sure at first but thankfully tenacity paid off! It sure is a roller-coaster making a painting sometimes.

I don't know if you can see but the last one shows the watercolour paper isn't playing right with the pigments.
